Kunal Desai, CFA

Kunal Desai is a Co-Portfolio Manager and has 15 years of experience investing in Emerging and Frontier Markets. He brings a wealth of expertise to the team, with a primary focus on the Indian market, drawing from his extensive background in managing India and Emerging Markets funds. His secondary expertise extends to Korea, China, and ASEAN regions, and he is also responsible for making portfolio management decisions for the strategy, as well as engagement with companies that fall under his coverage.

He joined GIB Asset Management in 2021, most recently from Mobius Capital Partners, where he was a Partner. Prior to that, he was Lead Manager of the award-winning Neptune India Fund as Head of Indian Equities and also served as a Portfolio Manager on the Neptune Global Emerging Markets Fund. His performance earned him a Citywire AAA rating and an FE Trustnet 5 Crowns Rating.

Kunal holds a BA in Economics and Management from Oxford University and is a CFA Charterholder.
