Hamish is a Sustainability Manager at GIB and supports GIB’S corporate sustainability and sustainable finance work. His career has focused on working with large banks, insurers, and institutional investors on climate change risk management and investment strategy for the energy transition. Prior to joining GIB, Hamish supported members of the Principles for Responsible Banking on implementation of their sustainability commitments and led a sustainable finance consulting practice. In the lead up to COP26, Hamish worked with partners to lay the groundwork for the launch of the Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero and participated in a number of that coalition's technical workstreams. In 2014, he launched the Legal Programme at the Asset Owners Disclosure Project in London. He holds a Juris Doctor degree in law from the University of British Columbia and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
