GIB Asset Management appoints new Global Equity Analyst

London: 3 August 2021: GIB Asset Management (“GIB AM”), today announces the appointment of Oliver Gottlieb as an Equities Analyst in its Global Equity team.

The GIB AM global equity team’s investment philosophy, reflected in its flagship GIB Sustainable World strategy, is that the greatest profits belong to those businesses that solve our greatest challenges. Products that positively impact our health, education, mobility and environment can grow ahead of their peers. Companies that treat customers, suppliers, employees and the natural environment with respect can excel.

Oliver Gottlieb has 17 years of investment experience. He joins from HSBC Global Asset Management where he was part of a global team managing $1bn of assets across a range of 1st quartile peer ranked active strategies, including several focused on sustainability. Oliver is a member of the IASB Capital Markets Advisory Committee, advising the IASB Board on the implications of proposed changes to financial accounting standards. He has made regular contributions to CFA UK in the areas of accounting, stewardship and climate change. In previous roles at HSBC Global Asset Management, he was Global Consumer Sector Head, and a Portfolio Manager / Senior Analyst for a European team managing $4bn of active equity strategies. Oliver has a BA in Economics with European Study from the University of Exeter, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
