GIB Asset Management appoints new Emerging Market Equity Portfolio Manager05/21 GIB Asset Management
London: 4 May 2021: GIB Asset Management (“GIB AM”), today announces the appointment of Marcin Lewczuk as Portfolio Manager of its Global Emerging Market Equity team.
Marcin joins the recently appointed team of Greg Konieczny (Head of Global Emerging Markets Equities), and Kunal Desai (Portfolio Manager). Marcin previously worked together with Greg and Kunal at Mobius Capital Partners, and the trio will drive the creation of GIB’s emerging markets equity capability, offering specialist investment solutions to international institutional investors, with a focus on actively engaging with companies to drive sustainable and financial outperformance.
Marcin has more than 11 years of Emerging and Frontier Markets investment experience and was co-responsible for the creation and implementation of the Emerging Market investment process at Mobius Capital Partners. Prior to Mobius Capital Partners, he was Lead Manager of the first quartile Morningstar-ranked Templeton Eastern European Fund* at Franklin Templeton, alongside being part of the Global Emerging Markets equity team, the emerging markets Active Ownership group, and the Private Equity strategy team.
